Cube measuring sensor
Cube is designed to measure the power of solid-state lasers. In the processing zone, laser power is one of the key parameters for the results of laser material processing. Loss of power can lead to serious problems with the quality of the machined part. Therefore, laser power must be measured directly in or near the processing zone.
Cube, as a mobile and compact power sensor, makes it possible to determine the laser power directly under the head in the processing zone.
Regular measurement of laser power is critical to ensuring the quality of processing results. An internal laser beam source power display can only detect changes in the laser source. What matters, however, is the entire beam path up to the workpiece, so it makes sense to measure power as close to the processing head as possible, directly in or near the processing zone.
However, the availability of the processing zone for conventional power sensors is not always assured. To achieve greater flexibility in this regard, PRIMES has developed the Cube power meter. Robust and self-contained – no wiring or cooling water required.
A particular advantage of the Cube is that it operates completely independently. It does not require cables for power supply or hoses for cooling water supply. The Cube has an integrated Bluetooth interface for wireless communication between the power meter and a computer or mobile device. This makes it ideal for use in confined work areas. The Cube derives its energy for operation from a lithium cell, which can be charged via a micro-USB connector. An integrated LCD display shows important operational data, such as the last measured laser power, exposure time or current absorber temperature. The rugged yet stylish housing protects against shock and dust. All of this makes it an ideal measurement system for everyday work.
